Blair Glenn recognized by Murfreesboro Magazine
LA VERGNE, Tenn. – March 30, 2015 – Blair Glenn, chairman of the board for Quality Industries Inc., was recently recognized by the Murfreesboro Magazine as a 2015 Women in Business honoree.
At a March 11 luncheon, Glenn – along with other honorees – received awards for outstanding achievements within their fields and their commitment to serving the community.
Glenn has successfully kept her family heritage in manufacturing strong while opening doors for other women within the field. Founded by Glenn’s father Bob Russell, Quality Industries has been Glenn's family business for 42 years and a critical contributor to its industry locally and nationally.
In 2009 it was listed in the Business TN TN250 ranking of the top 250 businesses in Tennessee, and holds the honor of being among the top 20 percent safest companies in the nation. "Supporting manufacturing in the United States, and here locally in Middle Tennessee is important to our economy. Providing jobs and the opportunity for employees to grow their skills and contribute to the creation and engineering of products that keep our economy moving is particularly appealing to me," said Glenn.
Glenn is an active a member of the national organization Women in Manufacturing and the Association of Women in Metal Industries. She serves on the MTSU Engineering Technology Advisory Board, Middle Tennessee Workforce investment Board, and is a member of Friends Council for WISTEM at MTSU and Rutherford CABLE.
